A HERITAGE PIECE

The story of the VB Accessories range goes all the way back to 1989 with Grandpa Nigel Goodale.
When we first started our business, no local engineering workshop was willing to tackle the task of creating a brass bath rack. Gramps (as he was know to the family) had studied engineering as a young lad and he also had a superb workshop in his garage as he was a keen Jaguar SS100 enthusiast, having created two replicas. Not surprisingly Gramps created the most beautiful bath racks for our clients. And thus began the VB range of accessories.

BATHROOM REVAMP AT SA’S OLDEST SCHOOL

When Alex Jellen, the Headmaster at LR Schmidt Moravian Primary School, enquired if we were willing to assist with the upgrade of the girls’ loo, we jumped at the opportunity to be involved.

LR Schmidt Primary was established in 1738 and is located in the scenic village of Genadenal, making it the oldest school in South Africa. The school is a no-fee school, catering for 420 boys and girls.

Victorian Bathrooms vision was to create a happy, light and uplifting environment and to involve the learners themselves to foster a pride for their new bathrooms.

Over a few weeks, a team of local men worked tirelessly to transform the worn, bleak interior, to one which now brings cheer to all those who use it.

Once construction was completed Gabby van Heerden, an art facilitator specialising in the healing qualities of creativity, mentored a group of grade 6 learners to create beautiful murals on the walls, brightening up the space.

We are grateful to the brands who contributed products and material to make this project possible. This project has made a difference in the lives of those young girls. Thank you.
